Jane M. Klausman Women In Business Scholarship
The Zonta International Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships, first awarded in 1998, are open to college women enrolled in at least the second year of an undergraduate program through the final year of a Master’s program in business, leading to a business management career. The program is designed to encourage women to enter careers and to seek leadership positions in business-related fields in their communities and throughout the world. The Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships look to the women of today to be the leaders of tomorrow. Twelve scholarships for $8000 are awarded at the international level. The local applicant selected for consideration by Zonta International will receive a $750 award from the Zonta Club of Mankato. Recipient will be sent forward for consideration for the $8000 Zonta International Scholarship or for a $2000 scholarship at the multi-state Zonta district level. Deadline for applications for the Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship is April 30. Young Women in Public Affairs Scholarship (YWPA)
he goal of the Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award Program is to encourage more young women to participate in public affairs by recognizing a young woman’s commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to the advancement of the status of women.
Applicants are asked to reflect on their voluntary commitment to their school and to their community and the problems limiting the advancement of the status of women in their own country and worldwide. The Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs Award Program looks to the young women of today for the leaders of tomorrow.
Applications for the Young Women in Public Affairs scholarship must be received by February 28. Scholarship is a $500 award. Applicant selected for this award is sent for consideration for an additional $1500 District scholarship and $4000 award from Zonta International.

New for 2019: Zonta International Women in Technology Scholarship The world economy, industry and sciences are becoming increasingly digitized, and these developments are disrupting society and familiar social processes. Women, however, are still largely underrepresented in information technology and other STEM fields. To create a world in which men and women have equal opportunities, women need to have an active role in technology and technological developments. Zonta International is pleased to offer its new Zonta International Women in Technology Scholarship to encourage women to pursue education, career opportunities and leadership roles in technology.
Eligibility
Women pursuing a technology degree or closely related program, who demonstrate outstanding potential in the field, are eligible to apply.
Women not enrolled in a university are also eligible as long as they submit:

- Description of current job with information about path that led to that job.
- Employer confirmation and recommendation or client testimonial supported by evidence.
- Reason for applying and description of desired career.
- Evidence of educational project plan (e.g. proof of course opportunities).

The Zonta Club of Mankato is a service organization. We occasionally grant limited funds to help with small
projects that are consistent with Zonta's mission of empowering women through service and advocacy. The final decision for funding is made by members of the Zonta Club of Mankato. Applications will be reviewed periodically. Each organization granted funds
should consider them as one-time only funds, as there are no assurances for further funding.
