Mankato Zontian Shelley Schultz Attends The International Convention in Germany

In July 2022, Shelley Schultz joined women from across the globe at the Zonta International Convention in Hamburg Germany. As a local, regional and national leader in Zonta, the international convention was a reunion with women she has stood with for decades addressing the issues important to the lives and futures of women. After the convention Shelley, along with friends from different clubs, were hosted in Berlin Germany by a friend who is a member of the Berlin Zonta Club.

Shelley reported back with some interesting and exciting updates. Here are some highlights.

Zonta's new tagline is "Build a Better World for Women and Girls". A wonderful summary of the common goal Zontians around the world strive to support. The mission and values of the organization remained similar to past years and the long history of the club. They are centered under 5 pillars:

1. Stand out for Gender Equity

2. Represent Global Citizenship

3. Develop Future Leaders

4. Celebrate ourselves

5. Position ZONTA for the future

These changes will be integrated in to Zonta Mankato's plan for 2022/2023 and beyond!
